U.S. Ambassador Karen Stanton Visits Gleno Health Center to see the Pacific Partnership Multinational Medical Service

On June 15th, U.S. Ambassador Karen Stanton and the Mission team paid a visit to the Gleno Health Center to see the Pacific Partnership multinational medical team in action! Every day from June 13-17, 250 medical personnel from the USNS Mercy went Gleno to treat hundreds of patients from the Ermera region in dentistry, general health, pediatrics, and maternal care.
The multinational Pacific Partnership 2016 exercise departed Timor-Leste on June 21, after completing two weeks of expert exchanges, a civil-military disaster response preparedness symposium, engineering projects and working closely with the Timor-Leste government to provide medical services to the local population in Dili and Gleno.
