U.S. Ambassador Judith Fergin honored five exceptional Timorese youths selected to attend the U.S. State Department’s Youth Leadership Peace Program and the 12th Annual World Summit of Novel Peace Laureates in America. United Nations in Timor-Leste’s Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Ameerah Haq, also attended this special event. Timor Leste, Bangladesh, Liberia and Yemen were the only four countries in the world selected to send participants to this exciting new program which gives leadership training to young leaders and adults who work with youth.
